| Archiving folders in Outlook - Lesson one | |||||||||

You can manually transfer old items to a storage file by clicking Archive on the File menu, or you can have old items automatically transferred by using AutoArchive. Once a folder is archived, the items (email messages), are removed from the Exchange Server and accessed from your hard drive or network drive. If you archive to your network (H:) drive, you can open and access your archived items from any workstation where you can log on with your network ID/ Items in Archived folders that are opened in Outlook can be read, deleted, forwarded, printed, moved, ..... In other words, treated just like any item that is still in your Inbox. To Archive folders manually:
