The campus patrol section of the Public Safety Department
provides 24 hour safety and security to the entire campus including off-campus
facilities where MDC classes are taught. They
enforce college rules and regulations, and conduct inquiries into criminal activity and other incidents
that occur on campus.
Uniformed Campus patrol officers provide services such as campus escorts, traffic and security details for
campus special events, and assistance to emergency service personnel (police, fire department or ambulance)
when they are called to college property. Patrol officers are also responsible for securing and
opening buildings, as well as, responding to fire or security alarm activations.
The Public Safety Department works closely with the Homestead Police Department to maintain the safest
possible environment for our students, faculty, and staff.
