Below are a couple of tips designed to keep you safe while on campus. The safety
tips will vary in subject, but are mainly concerned with self-protection topics relevant to today's
society.
Please be aware that in addition to the topics here, there are different flyers, handouts, and pamphlets
located in different areas throughout the campus. Also, if you have any further questions or ideas,
please send us an e-mail with your concerns. We will review these e-mails, and do our best to answer
your questions, or prepare information to disseminate.
Tip #1:
Always keep track of your personal items. College books are expensive enough the first time around,
so do your best to avoid buying them twice.
Tip #2:
Never leave any personal items visible within your vehicle, lock them safely in the trunk. If you
have an office, be sure to secure it any time you leave your desk.
Tip #3:
Be mindful of any place you use your debit or credit cards. If you are at a restaurant, make sure not
to let the card out of your sight.
