Vision:

The Kendall Academic Excelencia Advisory Team vision is to inspire learning while nurturing scholarship and stimulating dialogue, innovation, and excellence in learner-centered teaching practices that are equitable and inclusive. This team will look to promote teaching and learning practices that enhance the student experience and a culture of commitment to student learning.

Mission/Goals:

The mission of this advisory team is to be a facilitator and guiding vehicle for the adoption of a common philosophy and practice of critical reflection about teaching and learning that is inclusive, diverse, equitable, responsible and contextualized to our campus and college. The primary goals of this advisory team are:

  • To support, recommend and promote activities and best practices to help Kendall Campus faculty add to the already existing body of knowledge about teaching and learning through collaboration opportunities, expert speaker series, etc.
  • To help Kendall Campus students improve their learning by introducing tools and skill- building activities to stimulate academic growth, leadership traits and service while affording the opportunity for student to self-assess their efficacy as learners.
  • To promote interdisciplinary collaborations to optimize the student experience.
  • To cultivate an environment in which collaboration, communication and reflection about teaching and learning exists among faculty, staff and students that transcends the classroom to include different areas of the campus.
  • To use both qualitative and quantitative data in order to develop and implement a shared vision (image of the future) of teaching and learning at our campus.
  • To use an emergent leadership approach and building a collaborative culture to empower all stakeholders.
