Description
The 36-year old Puerto Rican engineering, architecture and business university opened its Miami, Florida campus to offer programs in 2002. It is a fully accredited university, ranked #2 in the nation for graduating Hispanics in Engineering, Sciences and Technology. It offers bachelor's degrees, master's programs and Microsoft certification programs.
Transfer Agreement Highlights
Students from MDC may transfer with their Associate in Arts degree and with at least a 2.7 cumulative Grade Point Average and with a 3.0 GPA in the area of concentration to the Polytechnic University of the Americas Bachelor program. The programs offered are: Computer Science, Business Administration, and Computer Engineering. Annually, five (5) tuition scholarships are available for students with a 3.2 GPA for 60 credits and 3.5 GPA in the area of concentration.
Scholarships
Polytec offers five (5) tuition scholarships a year to students with a minimum overall GPA in 60 Credit hours and a minimum of 3.5 GPA in concentration courses. Students who wish to be considered for this scholarship must apply for financial assistance.
