Description
The University of Miami is the most innovative private research university in the Southeast, with a well-earned reputation for academic excellence and commitment to students. UM offers a wide variety of degree programs in their eight schools and colleges. Their student-faculty ration of 13 to 1 is coupled with exposure to cutting-edge research, passionate teaching and a dynamic learning environment.
Transfer Agreement Highlights
The agreement establishes an Engineering Transfer program for Miami Dade College student who attain an Associate in Arts (AA) degree in pre-engineering to transfer to the College of Engineering at the University of Miami. Students participating in this program may seek a degree from any engineering degree-granting program at UM’s College of Engineering.

Participating students must complete an AA degree at Miami Dade College. The 60 credit-hours must include all the courses specified in the Appendix with a grade of "C" or better in each course in order for the course to transfer to University of Miami.
Scholarships
UM’s College of Engineering offers five tuition scholarships a year for students transferring from Miami Dade College. The scholarships will be offered to those students accepted to UM’s College of Engineering with a minimum overall Grade Point Average of 3.2 in the 60 credit hours, and a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.5 in the math and sciences courses specified in the Appendix.
