Kendall Campus

The Debate and Speech Lab, located in Building 2 room 2207, provides an area on campus which is specifically geared to helping students with all aspects of public speaking.  The Lab creates a comfortable environment for students to research, brainstorm, outline, and practice their speeches and gain from the experiences of the faculty. 
The Lab’s main purpose is to help students communicate effectively.  Students are assisted in both the construction and the presentation of their speeches.  The Lab provides a stress-free environment where students gain confidence in their public speaking ability.  Proper resources are provided to help students become strong and effective speakers.  Dedicated faculty and lab tutors are committed to helping students increase their speaking abilities.

 Services:

  • Debate Team practice- join and become part of the Debate Team
  • Qualified faculty and tutors to assist students with the construction and presentation of their speeches and debates
  • Resources, including computers, reference books and periodicals, for students to utilize while researching various speech or debate topics
  • Video equipment for taping students' speeches, so they can see their performance
