ENCARTA   Three references at one site: Encyclopedia, World English Dictionary and an Atlas Reference.
Encyclopedia Smithsonian   Information from the Smithsonian's frequently asked questions (FAQs) database provides information on a variety of topics.
Infoplease.com   This almanac from the Learning Network is a comprehensive site with many interesting links to publication and reference databases. A good place to visit for daily miscellaneous information.
Old Farmer's Almanac   Provides information on astronomy, weather, gardening, food, household tips, etc.
Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia   Comprehensive general encyclopedia containing over 181,000 articles. The general public contributes the entries.
