Description
Founded in 1849, this public four-year university is located 70 miles from Milwaukee. With 13 schools and colleges and 185 academic departments, the university offers a comprehensive range of programs in the sciences, liberal arts, and professions.
Transfer Agreement Highlights
Students with an AA degree and a cumulative GPA of 3.5 may transfer to UW-Madison’s undergraduate programs. The University will provide five (5) scholarships per year to those transfer students with a GPA of 3.5.
Scholarships
According to this agreement, up to five new students from MDC with a 3.5 Grade Point Average or higher and a recommendation from an academic dean are eligible for a scholarship at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Courses work must include credits that will fulfill UW-Madison general education requirements, including foreign language and math studies. Scholarships and financial assistance (that may include grants, loans and/or Work Study hours) to cover the full cost of attendance for two years will be awarded annually for up to five students. To remain eligible for the scholarships, winners must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA while attending UW-Madison.
