About this initiative

Our goal is to provide comprehensive support and career exploration opportunities to MDC students with a broad range of abilities and talents. Our focus is on providing opportunities and building upon student strengths, reinforcing their path to success and employability.

Our Purpose

  • Host events for the local community
  • Offer internships and apprenticeships to neurodivergent students at MDC
  • Support student advocacy
  • Speak about neurodiversity at schools, workplaces, conferences, and community organizations
  • Promote neurodiversity-friendly hiring and employment practices
  • Write about neurodiversity for publication in external sources

Building Neurodiversity-Friendly Workplace

This course is intended for employers and staffing seeking to build neurodiversity-friendly organization or places of work. Participants learn about the value neurodiverse individuals add to work teams, how to provide employee-centered accommodation, and how to adopt inclusive, organizational processes and procedures.
