Test Preparation Resources

CLAST Resources CPT Resources

CLAST testing focuses on four academic areas: Reading, English Language Skills, Essay and Mathematics. In order to excel in these academic areas, students must study, review and practice test taking skills. These selected resources are intended to assist you in that regard.

The Computerized Placement Test (CPT) is used for placement at all Florida community colleges for most programs. The test will assess your content knowledge in reading, sentence skills, and mathematics.

Various studies have shown that students can improve their score on these and other standardized tests with adequate preparation. Our goal is to provide a list of valuable resources for your use to prepare for the CLAST and the CPT.

You will find the information you need about each test, how to prepare for the test, and where to take the test. In addition to these resources, students should visit their respective campuses for campus based resources. Campus based resources range from handouts, textbooks to special computer programs specially designed to assist students with various backgrounds to adequately prepare and perform as close to their ability as possible.
