Florida Basic Abilities Test (F-BAT)

The Florida Basic Abilities Test (F-BAT) was created to fulfill the needs of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to test candidates for the corrections, correctional probation and law enforcement institutions. The test was developed to measure basic abilities at the minimum level required upon entry into basic recruit training programs.

Note:
Examinees must be checked-in and seated by the time scheduled in order to begin the assessment. Consequently, examinees will have adequate time to finish the assessment in a reasonable period or within the Testing Department’s Office Hours of Operation.

Other FeesMaximum scheduled administration time is three hours. Plus $15.00 for each additional hour or fraction thereof. Testing students for other institutions (not for course related testing - e.g. ACCUPLACER, PERT, COMPASS, CSP, Wisconsin Placement Exams). This includes sending scores to other institutions (MDC and non-MDC students) (all attempts)MDC$45.00
Minimum
Official score reports to students or another institution or agency (all requests). Must fill-in and submit a Test Scores Release FormMDC$10.00
Note:
MDC testing fees are non-refundable/non-transferable. Examinees must pick up a payment form at the campus Testing Department and submit it to the Bursar’s Office prior to taking an MDC fee related test. MDC accepts cash, check, money orders, or credit/debit cards. Make sure to save the receipt for proof of payment.
