Whether you are a new student just starting out at MDC, or a continuing student considering your transfer options, we urge you to learn about transfer requirements and the many resources and services available at the College to assist you in making a successful transition upon completion of your degree program.
Graduating with an Associate in Arts degree, or with a transferrable Associate of Science degree, guarantees MDC graduates the following benefits:
- Admission priority when applying to institutions in Florida’s State University System over those students seeking to transfer prior to completing their degree program.
- Junior standing when transferring to a State University System institution in Florida
- Waiver of freshman admission standards such as SAT/ACT scores
- Acceptance of at least 60 semester credit hours and waiver of General Education Core requirements.
Articulation agreements can help to make the transfer process much easier. Articulation agreements are contracts that guarantee certain rights to MDC graduates. Miami Dade College subscribes to numerous Articulation Agreements with local and in-state public and private four-year institutions as well as with out-of-state institutions. By visiting the College’s Articulation webpage, you can browse articulation agreements by institution names and by program. Additionally, articulation agreements with State of Florida University System institutions can be explored through Florida Virtual Campus.
