Clery Act Crime Statistics
Reportable crimes, as defined by the "Campus Security Act of 1990 (Jeanne Clery Act)" as amended, are presented in tabular form below. Information about other crimes committed on campus is available upon request from each Campus Public Safety Department. The annual disclosure of campus crime statistics is prepared by the department in conjunction with the Offices of Student Affairs and Student Life, the Director of Emergency Preparedness and the local police departments that serve and protect our campuses.
Each campus Chief of Public Safety reviews all violations of law reported to their Campus Public Safety Department and Officers. Each of the campus chiefs works with local police in the reporting, investigation and prevention of violations of the law which may occur on College property.

Annual Security Report (ASR)
The Annual Security Report (ASR) lists the previous three years of the Miami Dade College's campus crime statistics for on campus property, the adjacent public property, and the non-campus facilities. The ASR also outlines the Public Safety Department's authority for responding to emergencies, evacuation, and their policies for crime reporting, which includes sexual assaults/offenses, substance abuse, hate crimes, and missing persons. Furthermore, the ASR contains information about offered crime prevention workshops, counseling and treatment services, and the accessibility of the campus facilities. Institutions that may have on-campus student housing facilities, fire safety information can also be found in the ASR. This information is pursuant to the recently updated Jeanne Clery Disclosure, the Campus Security Policy, and the Campus Crime Statistics Act ("Clery Act"). It should be noted these laws were formerly known as the Federal Student Right-to Know Act, the Campus Security Act of 1990, and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 (HEOA).
