Single Stop

Benefits Screening

Using an online screening tool, Single Stop coordinators are able to identify preliminary federal, state, and local resources to help students and family members connect to basic needs such as:

  • Childcare
  • Food Assistance
  • Health Insurance
  • Temporary Cash Assistance
  • Transportation
  • Utility Assistance

Single Stop also partners with the Department of Children & Families (DCF) and has a full-time DCF case manager on site. This allows Single Stop coordinators to assist in the application of benefits, ensure the follow-through of all necessary paperwork, and follow-up with each individual/family member to make sure they received the benefits they are eligible for.
