The Planning Points reporting series succinctly examines timely topics and turns raw data into actionable information by examining trends and adding context. A question-and-answer format is used for Planning Points. The reports feature at least one graphic visualizing the key results, an embedded overview table with local trend data, and available contextual trend data at the state and/or national level. Actionable items, next steps and/or takeaways are identified.
Miami Dade College is committed to providing access to information that promotes student progress and outcomes. An array of data-intensive, question driven Planning Points and brief (one to several page) answers are available to MDC employees. In most cases, the emphasis is on collegewide responses. A few reports are publicly posted here that more broadly examine major issues impacting higher education.
