Employee Discount Packages for Miami International Film Festival's GEMS

Miami Dade College is proud to host GEMS of Miami International Film Festival from Oct. 22-25, 2015.

Our four-day mid-season Festival returns this fall with a new name, GEMS, featuring las joyas de la corona (the crown jewels) of the season’s finest new cinematic works. GEMS will appear exclusively at MDC’s Tower Theater.

GEMS will provide us with another opportunity to introduce a specially curated program of new movies that truly sparkle, as we countdown to the Festival’s 33rd edition next March 4-13, 2016.

The GEMS lineup will distill the annual Festival experience of showcasing the best of world cinema, into a concentrated weekend of 15 premieres accompanied by in-person appearances by visiting filmmakers, as well as seminars, parties and additional events. Please review our online Film Guide for a complete listing of film presentations.

We are happy to offer all MDC employees the opportunity to purchase any of three unique film/event packages at a reduced rate. Last year, we had many of our films sell-out, so I encourage you to make your reservations early.

To order your package(s), please fill out the Employee Packages Form, which includes information on the three package options. Indicate your choice of package(s) and either email the completed form to, or send it via inter-office mail to: Sarah Roffman, Freedom Tower at MDC, 4th Floor.

Please note that the reservation deadline for all film packages is Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015.

All packages will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure that you are able to see the films and attend the events of your choice, please get your reservations in today.
