Kristallnacht Remembered

An array of lit candles
At the Homestead Campus Kristallnacht Remembrance, six candles were lit to honor the six million lives lost in the Holocaust.

The MDC community took time to honor the victims of the Holocaust during the annual Kristallnacht Remembrance event at Homestead Campus. Survivor Dr. Peter Tarjan joined German Consul General Eva Countess Kendeffy and Israeli Consul General Chaim Shacham to raise awareness about brave individuals who resisted the Nazi government, including former Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, who rescued more than 2,000 children during the war. The speakers joined together to light six candles in honor of the six million lives lost in the Holocaust.
