Aurelio M. Fernandez

MDC alumnus Aurelio Fernández III recently was named as chief executive officer of Memorial Healthcare System, a $1.8 billion-a-year public hospital network serving South Broward County. Formerly the organization’s chief operating officer, Fernández was unanimously voted into the top administrative position by the board of directors for Memorial Healthcare.

As CEO, Fernández now runs one of the largest U.S. comprehensive healthcare networks with six hospitals, a nursing home, urgent care centers and community clinics.

MDC has a long-standing tradition of educating top health care administrators. Recently retired Memorial President and CEO Frank V. Sacco is also an MDC alumnus.
