	The AA degree is designed to transfer to universities. A student who is awarded an AA degree by Miami Dade College has met the general education requirements for admission to the upper division of public universities. Degrees are offered in the following areas:
	Accounting Business Administration Economics Hospitality Administration/Travel & Tourism Management


	The A.S. degree is designed for careers requiring specialized study at the college level. Specializations within the degree are tailored for immediate entry into the business world. However, many of the courses in these programs may be transferred to an upper division college or university should you decide to continue working toward a four-year degree. Degrees are offered in the following areas:
	Accounting Technology Office Administration Court Reporting Technology Business Administration Hospitality & Tourism Management Travel Industry Management Financial Services with concentration in the following areas: Banking Financial Management Mortgage Finance Specialization Marketing Management with concentration in the following areas: Entrepreneurship International Business International Trade Marketing Non-Profit Management Real Estate Marketing


	The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree is a two-year degree that leads to employment and is not intended to transfer to a four-year institution.
	Hospitality and Tourism Management Rooms Division Management Food and Beverages Specialization Business Administration International Business Management Marketing Non-Profit Management Real Estate


	Designed for concentrated study in specific subject areas, these programs are shorter in duration than Associate in Science degree programs, but credits earned in these programs can apply toward a related A.S. degree. A sampling of certificate programs follow:

	These vocational credit programs are comprised of vocational credit courses. Program length varies depending upon the complexity of the individual program. The training is focused on preparation for immediate job entry and specific job titles. Competencies gained upon successful completion of these training programs may result in advanced placement or specific credits towards an Associate of Science degree.
