Communities of Learners

Community of Practice (CoP)

Communities of Practice “are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.” Communities of Practice meet at Eduardo J. Padrón Campus to engage in the process of collective learning with other practitioners with the goal of learning from and with others.

Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

Professional Learning Communities engage participants “in an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively in recurring cycles of collective inquiry” to positively impact students’ educational experiences. Job-embedded learning opportunities are regarded favorably and contribute to one’s growth and development and improved educational practices.
