Program Overview

The Associate in Science degree in Fire Science Technology is a comprehensive college credit program offering instruction in the skills needed for a wide variety of technical positions. This program provides a solid academic background while also providing hands-on experience in real life scenarios that test the student's skill.

In addition, students receive training in methods of instruction to help prepare them for state examination and certification as a Fire Service Instructor by the Florida State Fire Marshall's Office.

Program Details

The Associate in Science degree in Fire Sciences is a 60 college credit program that prepares students for professional competency and advancement in the fire sciences field. Students will develop their knowledge of supervision and management, fire ground tactics and strategies, hazardous materials, hydraulics, and other subjects such as:
