Gil Delaney
Professor Delaney is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he obtained a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. He holds the following FAA certificates: Commercial/Multi-Engine Pilot and Ground Instructor. Professor Delaney served in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years where he played many important roles such as Pilot/Systems Operator, Line/Ground Operations and F4 Fighter Pilot. Professor Delaney’s teaching style stimulates students to think for themselves and work hard to obtain their goals. Professor Delaney teaches: Aviation Meteorology, Aerodynamics, Aircraft Engine/Structure Theory, Physiology/Psychology of Flight, Aircraft Systems, Instrument Pilot Theory and other aviation courses.

Dr. Allan Rossmore
Dr. Allan Rossmore is a graduate of the University of Miami where he obtained a Juris Doctorate degree. He holds a Master’s degree in International Business and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Florida International University. Dr. Rossmore has the following FAA certifications: Aircraft Dispatcher, designated Aircraft Dispatcher Examiner, and Private Pilot. His teaching style utilizes student participation where actual scenarios are played out. Dr. Rossmore teaches: Aviation Laws and Regulations, Aviation Industry Operations, Airline Management and Airline Marketing. Dr. Rossmore recently became the President of the International Federation of Airline Dispatchers’ Associations and he has been a recipient of the Miami Dade College Endowed Teaching Chair Award for 2003-2006.

Timothy Schmelzer
Professor Schmelzer is a graduate of Troy State University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Operations Management. Professor Schmelzer is the College’s Chief Ground Instructor, as well as a Commercial Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, and Multi-Engine Instructor. His teaching style can be best described as motivational.  Professor Schmelzer teaches: Private Pilot Theory, Commercial Pilot Theory, Flight Operations, Airline Ticketing, Airline Reservations and Aviation Customer Service. Professor Schmelzer was honored as an Endowed Teaching Chair for the Homestead Campus for 2002-2005.

Victor Manuel Fernandez
Mr. Fernandez is a graduate of Florida International University where he obtained a Bachelor in Science in Industrial Technology.  He holds the following FAA certificates:  Commercial/Multi-Engine, Certified Flight Instructor Airplane Instrument, and Multi-Engine Instructor.  Mr. Fernandez recently retired Air Traffic Control Specialist from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Control Tower.  His teaching style is interactive, he teaches:  Aviation Meteorology, Instrument Pilot Theory Air Traffic Control Non-Radar Procedures, ATC Radar Procedures and VFR Tower Operations.
