| And remember, you don’t have to go it alone. Miami Dade College’s InterAmerican Campus has a plethora of academic resources and student support services designed with you in mind. From the New Student Center, ACCESS, and Career Services, to the Academic Advisement and Financial Aid departments, you can find an answer to any college-related question you may have. | FYE is geared toward helping first time in college (FTIC) students get used to their new surroundings and seek out ways to find balance in their college lives and excel in their course of studies. A variety of workshops is offered each semester. And keep a look out for our perennial kick-off event, held during the first month of each new term. |

| While you may feel a bit inexperienced at the moment, don’t worry, it’s a temporary condition. Once you find your way around and get involved (see Student Life), you’ll feel like you’re at home on campus. And the more you get involved, the better you’ll feel about your first year experience. So make the most of it!
