The Senior Officers Course is a twelve-week (192 hour) college level educational program. Each course will be a duration of twelve weeks of classroom instruction, with all four courses running concurrently. The target audiences are individuals in supervisory, middle and upper management positions or about to be promoted. This program provides instruction in law enforcement issues, diagnostic problem-solving, and administrative law. On completion graduates of this program will have a clear understanding of General management theory, Policy development, Planning processes, Legal issues in criminal justice, and Organizational structure and behavior. The successful completion of the course makes the student eligible for up to 12 academic credits in our Criminal Justice Bachelors Program.

This course describes and evaluates various research methodologies as applied to the study of Crime, Criminology, and Criminal Justice.

Criminal Justice Administration

This course describes and discusses the three main concepts about criminal justice organizations, and the administration of those systems.

Law enforcement and Society

This course Identifies police roles and philosophies, the nature of police work, community policing, and the debates pertaining to police discretion, community relations, and police misconduct

Civil Law

This course is designed to provide the student with a working knowledge of the issues facing civil litigation today and an historical perspective as it relates to global, cultural, and organizational forces and change.
