Workshops with Jon Secada (September 17, 2007)
Jon Secada, one of the most gifted artists of our time, is not only blessed with a soulful voice, but also with an artistry to create, write and produce music. The millions of people worldwide who have followed the radiant career of this international superstar have witnessed the inimitable talents of this legendary artist. Now, this three-time Grammy Award-winning artist joined the Miami Dade College teaching staff as a visiting professor at the Kendall Campus this fall.

The dynamic entertainer is no stranger to the College. Before his singing career took off, Secada was a voice and humanities professor in the music department at MDC’s North Campus from 1986-1991. Now that he’s returned to the College, Secada will provide instruction for the Kendall Campus’ music and commercial music departments. In addition to teaching in the classroom, he will provide students with formal coaching.

Jon Secada will host a variety of workshops this Fall to help prepare students for careers and/or advanced study in music. Please come and join us.

Current MDC students may attend for free with a valid MDC Student ID card.
