MDC North Campus student Grace Terc was this year’s recipient of the Terry O’Banion Student Technology Award. She was one of two students to be honored by the League for Innovation in the Community College and the league’s partner Microsoft Corp.
Microsoft’s U.S. education team selected one student technology winner and one student developer winner based on their demonstrated passion for technology and commitment to their education and communities.
Terc, who was named the student developer champion, impressed the committee with her desire to excel in developing IT fields. She received $4,500 and a variety of software products, courtesy of Microsoft.
The awards are presented annually in honor of Terry O'Banion, senior league fellow and president emeritus of the League for Innovation.
