He’s always been good with numbers. Even while studying at MDC in the early 70s, Carlos Migoya was working as a teller at Boulevard National Bank.

Each year, Miami Dade College honors its best, brightest and most successful alumni by gathering to celebrate and induct a new Alumni Hall of Fame class. The awards gala is April 22 at the Hilton Miami Downtown.

Kathleen Molero discovered she wanted to work with animals when she was just a little girl caring for her pets. Now The Honors College at Miami Dade College graduate is attending Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, one of the leading veterinary schools in the country.

Leaders convene to officially kick off college’s 1960 Society

Miami Dade College (MDC) alumni and business leaders recently convened for an intimate reception for MDC’s 1960 Society. Dr. Penny Shaffer, chair of the MDC Foundation Board of Directors and market president of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, and Sheldon Anderson, immediate past chair of the MDC Foundation and southern region president and CEO for Northern Trust, hosted the gathering at the Viceroy Miami.
