Making Their Mark
Alumni Join Hall of Fame
Miami Dade College proudly recognized 27 outstanding alumni at this year’s Hall of Fame Gala, which highlights the accomplishments of former students in a variety of industries and serves as a prime source of scholarship funding and support for current students. This year’s gala raised nearly $800,000 in scholarship funds.
“Our Hall of Fame honorees remind us what a tremendous difference higher education makes in the lives of our students, their families and our community,” said MDC President Dr. Eduardo J. Padrón.
Past inductees for this prestigious honor include actor Andy Garcia, music industry mogul Emilio Estefan, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Nilo Cruz, former Dolphins wide receiver Nat Moore and U.S. Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, among other distinguished leaders across the country.
