Physician Assistant Students Top in Nation

Students in MDC’s Physician Assistant (PA) Program once again proved their insurmountable prowess by nabbing the national title at the 2016 Annual Medical Challenge Bowl. This marks the second time since 2014 that MDC has earned bragging rights to the coveted award. The MDC team took first place in their win against 81 other groups from across the nation at the competition held San Antonio, Texas. In addition to their win, MDC was the only Florida team to make it onto the stage for the final round. The winning MDC team included second-year PA students Liz Holguin, Olivia Iglesias and Solumeh Zoghi.

Miami Dade College is a perennial powerhouse at the national competition, beating out Duke, Yale, Stanford and numerous other top colleges and universities in past competitions.
