Licensure
 

Licensure is not required in the state of Florida for employment as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Although Diagnostic Medical Sonography registration and certification is not required for employment, many employers require it. Graduates are encouraged to apply to sit for their registries in order to become more marketable.
