The mission of the Miami Dade College School of Justice is to provide accessible, affordable and innovative education, training, and assessment programs to produce highly qualified public and private sector professionals.

Since 1971, Miami Dade College and the School of Justice have taken a leadership role in the development and preparation of professional law enforcement and correctional officers. Since our humble beginnings, we now provide educational and training opportunities to more than 12,000 individuals annually in the following areas:

Academic Programs
Bachelor of Applied Sciences degrees in Public Safety Management, including 7 specialty tracks;
Associate of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice;
Associate of Science degrees in Criminal Justice;
Associate in Fire Science in Fire Science Technology;

Basic Academy Training & Career Development

Basic Law Enforcement;
Corrections;
Advanced specialized ‘in service’ courses for law enforcement & corrections;
Security courses, licensing & certification;

Fire Science

Fire Fighter certification;

Assessment Center
Assessment Center providing selection and promotional services to public safety agencies

Basic Correction Academy

Basic Law Enforcement Academy Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ)
All interested applicants must attend an orientation session before submitting an application.

Every Tuesday
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Interested students must reserve a seat by calling 305-237-1400 no later than 12:00 PM on Tuesday

Kendall Campus, Building 5000, Room 5130
