Career and Professional Developmental Center

In accordance with State mandated annual training and to enhance the skills of law enforcement and correctional practitioners, the School of Justice offers specialized training programs based on assessed needs determined collectively by SOJ staff, the Miami Dade Chiefs of Police Association and industry trends. On average the Career Development Section each month presents 5 career development programs. On the average 1500 officers attend classes such as computer facilitated crimes, terrorist tactics, active shooter response, interview techniques and developing strategies to resolve community issues. To ensure our programming is relevant and current our Career Development programs are scheduled January through June and July through December. For further information, please call 305-237-1460.
