About Spooky Night
Spooky Night started off as a small annual tradition at the Kendall Campus coordinated by Student Life. Student clubs would give out candy to kids in the community as a safe alternative to trick-or-treating in the Fred Shaw Plaza. Spooky Night has grown into the signature Recruitment and Community Engagement event for the Kendall Campus. It is now hosted in a much larger venue (the Kendall Campus Track) and features community sponsors, main stage entertainment, arts and crafts, games, costume contests, and more. This event is run by student, staff and faculty volunteers and all proceeds from the event benefit a different charity each year.
Donations
The MDC Student Food Pantries provide a means for students to stay focused on their academic studies despite any untimely financial hardships they may be faced with while pursuing an education. Donations of canned goods and non-perishable items will be accepted.
