The School of Continuing Education & Professional Development’s mission is to make the College more accessible to the public and to meet community needs not served by traditional College programs. We offer noncredit courses for individuals who want to enrich their cultural experiences or improve their professional or occupational skills. No record of previous education is necessary and there are no homework assignments, attendance requirements or grades for most classes.
The professionals at Miami Dade College’s Center for Corporate Solutions have the skills and business experience to educate your staff. We can customize our courses and schedules to meet the needs of your business, all while keeping an eye on the bottom line.
The TRAMCON career pathway includes on-the-job training and 7 nationally recognized trade certificates. The program courses are offered at no cost* to the participants and the program is multi-entry, and multiexit. Credit for prior learning may also be awarded. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, achieve a 9 on the TABE exam, and be authorized to work in the United States.
Earn College Credit For What You Know - Find out how at www.mdc.edu/pla. The portfolio development course is a self-paced course offered to students who would like to earn college credit for prior learning gained from experience. The course is required for portfolio assessment and will help you prepare a portfolio for college credit with step-by-step guidance. The online course takes six weeks to complete, and you may register at any time within the semester.
Gain certification and knowledge for the world of global logistics and import/export with this blended (classroom 40 hours/online 56 hours) certification course presented in conjunction with the American Society of Transportation and Logistics. Successful completion of the course can convert to 12 credit hours in Supply Chain Management Degrees offered by community colleges in Florida.
MDC is proud to be a recipient of the Susan Harwood Training Grant from OSHA. This grant is awarded to provide training and education programs for employers and workers at no cost on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of hazards in their workplaces.
