Lori Kudeviz Patrick, originally from New York, grew up primarily in South Florida area. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in oboe performance from the University of Miami and her Masters Degree in oboe performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music,
Ms. Patrick enjoys both an active performing and teaching career. She has performed in orchestras in New York such as the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, as well as having founded the Riverband Trio, based out of Cincinnati. She has participated in summer festivals including Aspen Music Festival, Brevard Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival and Rome Festival Orchestra. Ms. Patrick has participated in master classes with John De Lancie, Richard Woodhams, Joseph Robinson and Elaine Douvas.
In South Florida, Ms. Patrick has performed with the Miami Philharmonic, Boca Pops Orchestra, Miami City Ballet, New York City Ballet, Sadler Wells Ballet and Greater Miami Opera, and currently plays regularly with Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) and Miami Wind Symphony.
In addition to being adjunct faculty of Miami Dade College – Kendall Campus, Ms. Patrick is on staff as the oboe/bassoon teacher for Greater Miami Youth Symphony and has an active private teaching studio for students from middle school through college level. Lessons include reed making for advanced students. Ms. Patrick also does oboe consulting/coaching for public and private schools throughout Miami-Dade County. Her students participate in various summer festivals and attend colleges and music conservatories on generous oboe scholarships. Recent graduates of Ms. Patrick’s private studio have gone on to institutions including Peabody Institute, Florida State University, University of Pennsylvania and University of Florida.
