Nationally recognized, our School of Justice reinforces rigorous academics with hands-on experience. You’ll be able to choose from 10 tracks as you develop the knowledge and skills that will prepare you to begin your career or further your education in a graduate degree program.
Qualified students selecting one of our two academy tracks spend the last semester of the four-year program in one of our basic training academies. Students completing either academy track will find that in four years, they have earned a Bachelor in Applied Science in Public Safety Management and are eligible to sit for the state officer certification exam in either law enforcement or corrections because of their emergency management degree.

Focus on Applied Knowledge
The Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) is the designated degree for flexible baccalaureate programs that are designed to accommodate the unique demands for entry and advancement within specific workforce sectors. B.A.S. programs provide degree completion opportunities for students from a variety of educational backgrounds but primarily for those with A.S. degrees or the equivalent. B.A.S. degree programs conform to all articulation conventions and typically include capstone experiences that provide opportunities for students to demonstrate the application of acquired knowledge, skills and competencies.
