Testing
 

Students applying to the Medical Coder-Biller Program must complete the Test of Adult Basic Education (T.A.B.E.). Contact the Testing Center at the Medical Center Campus by calling 305-237-4275 or the Testing Center at any of the other MDC campuses for the testing schedule for the T.A.B.E. Test.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D to participate in the T.A.B.E. test. Students who have earned an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, a higher degree, or have passed all content areas of the Computerized Placement Test (CPT) on their first attempt are exempt from the T.A.B.E. Test.

For the Medical Coder-Biller Program the scores that are required are:

READING - 11.0
MATH - 9.0
