REPORT FROM COLLEGE CASSC

Susan Kah reported that both the Histotechnology Program and the Veterinary Technology Program were presented to College CASSC on December 5, 2000.

Carol Miller, Gregory Ferenchak, and Babatunde Amole attended the College CASSC meeting to answer any questions.  Both programs were unanimously approved.

One of the Campus CASSC Committees addressed the issue of indicating the number of repeat enrollments on the class roll.  There may be a financial impact on a student who enrolls in the same course for a third time.  Faculty may be more aware of this issue and others if the number of enrollments is indicated on the class roll. Campus CASSC favors this designation on the class rolls.

Mardee Jenrette attended College CASSC on behalf of Jeffrey Lukenbill to discuss concerns expressed by the faculty on the Summer A & B Schedule.  Dr. Lukenbill plans to attend the January meeting to discuss this issue and others.  The Summer A & B schedule distributed by Susan Kah is the final schedule.

STUDENT SERVICES MANAGEMENT – APPOINTMENTS

Dr. Lukenbill sent a memo listing the appointments for the eight student services positions that had been posted at level 18.  Virginia Fuillerat is the new Director of Transition and Retention Center at the Medical Center Campus.  Arcie Ewell announced that Ms. Fuillerat would start in the new position on January 2, 2001.  Eight new positions, level 16, were published with a closing deadline of December 12, 2000.  The decisions on these positions will be made by Friday, December 15, 2000.

Arcie Ewell stated that the College would be open for registration and advisement on Wednesday, December 27th, Thursday, December 28th, and Friday, December 29th.
