If you have ever been a patient in a hospital, nursing facility or even a doctor’s office in Miami-Dade County, chances are that the excellent care you received came from a graduate of Miami Dade College’s Medical Campus. Over 30% of the Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, as well as Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians, in Miami-Dade County graduated from the Medical Campus.

Our students benefit from our close relationships with all hospitals and health care facilities in our community, where we have over 800 clinical sites providing practical, hands-on experiences to our students. Our graduates have excellent passing rates on state licensure and certification exams and, when they need to renew, they come back to Medical Campus for their Continuing Education requirements.

Our campus serves over 7,000 students each year. We take pride in its state-of-the-art educational facilities and programs which range from Nursing, Dental Hygiene, and Emergency Medical Services to Sonography, Opticianry and Physician Assistant. In fact, we now offer students a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, as well as in Health Sciences with a Physician Assistant concentration.

Our faculty members, dedicated professionals who are practitioners in their fields, recognize that workforce demands for the coming years are focused on the health care industry. They strive to serve our students and the community with excellence, and to help change lives through the opportunity of education, which is the College’s mission.

The Medical Campus staff, faculty and students are very involved with community initiatives, which enrich the programs as well as the experiences for the students. Vision and dental care are offered to over 3,000 members of the community at minimal cost. Throughout the year, health care professionals, students and members of the community attend health fairs, symposiums and conferences where they can discuss topics of relevance with nationally recognized experts in the health care field. Partnerships with organizations serving all facets of health care provide avenues for funding and growth of the Campus.
