Mission Statement

The College Prep English Department is committed to offer college prep student's high quality, basic skills education in reading and writing in preparation for college level courses. Also, our mission is to provide students with quality instruction, sound guidance and experiences that will assist them in meeting their goals.

Goals

To provide instruction in reading and writing that addresses the academic deficiencies of college prep students;

To provide students with supplemental instructional support;

To explore and incorporate various modes of instructional strategies;

To promote faculty and staff professional development;

To promote multi-culturalism - an awareness of and an appreciation for people of different cultures.
