THE MEANING OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATION
Cooperative Education Work Experience gives students an opportunity to gain work experience in their career fields of to explore potential career paths. This program integrates classroom study with employment and is based on the principle that learning does not confine itself to academic achievement but is equally dependent upon practical experience. Co-Op includes supervised part-time or full-time paid and/or volunteer work experiences for a minimum of 12 weeks. The student may earn up to six Co-op credits (three per semester).
