Hurricane Help

Puerto Rican Flag

Miami Dade College stands ready to assist the victims of Hurricane Maria. Our primary concern is to provide quality education in a safe and caring environment where students can learn, mature and grow into responsible global citizens. Visit our Hurricane Information page for further details and helpful resources.

We Will Help You Continue Your Education

It’s already a very stressful situation for many. We’re taking measures to alleviate some of that worry by ensuring that all those who want to attend MDC can do so, even when transcripts or other essential records are not currently available. The admissions and registration team are working to facilitate entry or continued education for students from Puerto Rico.

In-State Tuition Available for Puerto Rican Residents

MDC is helping displaced college students from Puerto Rico by offering them in-state tuition. After the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria, access to in-state tuition will ease the burden for Puerto Rican families during their recovery.
