Program Overview

Building upon MDC's rich history as the largest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the most highly regarded colleges in the nation, Miami Culinary Institute is a recipe for culinary excellence in the 21st century.

Students are provided with the latest in technology and equipment that allows them to engage with a curriculum that is designed to prepare them with real-world knowledge and expectations. Through a focused infusion of green-sustainable food and energy technologies, nutrition and culinary knowledge, MCI's goal is to create professionals who will evolve the world's food culture and, in doing so, provide a happier, healthier population and planet.

In addition to winning several awards of distinction, MCI is notable for providing students with ongoing singular experiences such as hosting the most decorated chef in the world, Feran Adria, for two years in a row. Students have also been given the opportunity to work with chefs from the number one restaurant in the world, El Celler de Can Roca, and they've participated in a sous vide class from one of only 67 Certified Master Chefs in the World.
