The School of Global Business at Miami Dade College (MDC) has partnered with Prologis to launch the Community Workforce Initiative (CWI), an innovative program designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in supply chain management and logistics. Through this partnership, students gain access to industry-relevant training, professional development, and direct connections to employers in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the economy.
Key Features of the Program
Training & Courses: Students will receive both technical and soft-skills training through MDC coursework and the Prologis Learning Academy platform.
Career-Ready Curriculum: A pre-determined group of courses to ensure students build a strong foundation in logistics and supply chain disciplines

- Logistics and Distribution Management
- Freight Brokerage Essentials
- Import/Export Business Fundamentals
- Customs Processing
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training
Soft Skills Development: Emphasis on communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking to enhance employability.
Student Support Services: MDC provides dedicated outreach, enrollment, and guidance throughout the program, ensuring student success from entry to completion.
Free Access to Employers: Prologis customers will be invited to interview and potentially hire MDC students at no cost, creating a direct pipeline to employment opportunities in the logistics sector
Student Eligibility & Process
- Enroll in the eligible logistics or supply chain courses at MDC.
- Complete required training modules via the Prologis Learning Academy.
