Our Associate of Science in Funeral Service Education (FSE) program at Miami Dade College is divided into two parts: general education and major-specific courses. To qualify for admission, students need to complete general education courses in Composition, Humanities, Mathematics, Natural Science, Social Science, and Computer Competency with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additionally, the program includes specialized courses essential for mastering funeral service practices. GPA Requirement for Program Continuation: Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA for graduation.
Academic Integrity: Students with three grades of “D”, “F”, or “W” in required Major courses will face removal from the program.
Academic Standing & Enrollment: Students must maintain a good standing and enroll in 9+ credit hours per major semester to remain in good standing. Failure to meet these requirements may lead to removal from the program.
Course Recency: FSE courses taken more than 3 years ago must be retaken or students must pass a competency test.
