• In-state tuition for up to 30 credits plus fees per year

Enrich Your College Experience

The Rising Scholars Program provides free tuition for up to two years, plus academic and co-curricular experiences to equip students with the knowledge, resources, and skills for success.

• Application Due Date: June 7, 2024 (contingent on availability)

Program Requirements

• Graduate High School in 2024 (May-July)
• Complete the MDC Admissions Application
• Complete the 2024-2025 Federal Financial Aid Application (FAFSA)
• Complete the Rising Scholars Program Application
• Complete the New Student orientation (customized for Rising Scholars Program)
• Provide letter of recommendation (Submit Letter of Recommendation to rising@mdc.edu by the application due date).
• Application Due Date: June 7, 2024 (contingent on availability)

Additional Information

• Funds will be applied at the in-state tuition rate after all other resources available to cover tuition and fees have been applied. 
• Out-of-state students are responsible for any additional out-of-state costs per credit, not covered by the scholarship.
