Pay Less Tuition
If you are a Florida resident and have been residing in the state for at least 12 months, you may be eligible for in-state tuition. Proof of residency required. Eligibility for in state fees also takes into account immigration status.

Create Your MDC Shark Account
Your MDC Shark Account is your student online account. It provides access to email, financial aid, scholarships awards, grades, and other important information specific to your academic career at MDC.

Submit Your Test Scores
You must submit your official ACT and SAT scores to us electronically. This is important because scores that are considered to be at college level open the door to opportunities such as the American Dream Scholarship.

Apply for Financial Aid
You should apply for financial aid even if you think you don’t qualify. There are many forms of support that you may be eligible for such as the American Dream Scholarship, which requires a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid application). The preferred deadline is August 17th, 2015.

Attend Orientation, Meet Your Advisor, Get Your Classes
Get to know your assigned advisor at the New Student Orientation. This is your opportunity to make personal contact, get knowledge about the campus, register for classes and just have fun! You will leave orientation with your course schedule which will show the days, times and locations of classes. It will also show total amount due and payment due date, as well as other important information. Look for an email containing registration information for the orientation.
