How to get a Jackson Badge
Only applies to Faculty and students attending clinicals at JACKSON hospitals
- Transfer your Student Health Form (no need to get another physical form filled out) to the Medical History & Physical Examination Section.
- Complete the Online Orientation and upload it to the clinical rotation
- Email Ms. Jessica Grau at medicalcomplio@mdc.edu once you have submitted all your requirements.
- Ms. Jessica Grau or Ms. Pierre will then transfer your background check from the main COMPLIO.
- If this is an OB, PEDS, PSYCH, or Leadership Clinical, make sure you enter the date you did your AHCA fingerprints. If not sure, call Tallahassee at 1-850-412-4503 and verify this information.
- If you don’t have AHCA and need to do it, call Fingerprints Technologies at 305-443-9148 and identify yourself as an MDC student to receive the loyalty discount. Keep in mind Tallahassee can take up to 14 days to enter your information into the database, so don’t risk having to repeat your clinical due to not having all the requirements. JACKSON Hospitals will be checking for your AHCA background check.
- Once all requirements are verified, your information is sent to Jackson Hospital for review. Your status at this point is “Pending Review”. Please be patient!
- Approval usually happens within 24–48 hours, but it can also take a few days. It all depends on the size of the workload that the person reviewing our students has on the Jackson Health side. When the school receives the list with your name on it, you will be notified by one of our staff members or by your professor.
- Students can also check for their Approval status of the clinical rotation by checking the Clinical rotation in their COMPLIO account and reviewing the “Review Notes” COLUMN. “Pending Review” means students are awaiting a review from the Jackson Health team. Once they have approved your profile, the status will change to “Approved”.
To Obtain Or Renew Your CPR/BLS
You can obtain or renew with the vendor of your choice; however, they must be using the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. No other will be accepted!
Once you have your new card, please upload to Complio as soon as possible!
