Providing students with advanced multi-cloud computing literacy skills

ECHO, partnered with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google and IBM is working to provide a multi-cloud College Credit Certificate program to help meet industry cloud needs in the areas of multi-cloud DevOps and Data Analytics. This program will both up/reskill current professionals as well as train current college students in these technologies.

From LogicMonitor’s global study, Cloud 2025, cloud deployment is accelerating in response to the current global pandemic with 74% of the respondents indicating 95% of workloads will be deployed to the cloud with all industries experiencing a shortage of cloud trained professionals.

Florida ranks 4th nationwide in net IT employment; 2nd in net IT jobs added last year; and 4th in the Cyberstates Innovation Score, based on venture capital investments, technology startups and new business formations and other factors and according to the Department of Labor for South East Florida, there were 2,453 unique job postings for cloud and related technology jobs in May 2020.

ECHO, through a new College Credit Certificate in advanced multi-cloud computing literacy skills, Cloud on Demand vSummit, and preparation for advanced certification exams, is working to solve this lack of talent.

After completing the boot camp, students will be prepared for the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification exam, an entry-level exam to demonstrate knowledge about the AWS Cloud platform.
